Favourite Blogs #12

Hello again guys; every month there are a few posts that I always try and find the time to post, although obviously if I don't feel my best then I take a break from blogging in general. This month I've discovered several new blogs through various social medias and so this post is a kind of celebration between blogs that I love, whether I've just discovered them or if I've been reading them for a while now. I like to read a range of blogs, including beauty, lifestyle and mental health, however my preferred blogs are always those with a dash of positivity. I'm currently loving reading blogs compared to magazines as I feel like they're written by people like me, for people like me which is refreshing. There's a feeling of authenticity that comes from blogs, which is why I enjoy reading them so much.

I found Amelia's blog fairly recently, after following her on instagram for a while, but once I saw her blog I instantly fell in love. There's something lovely in the simplicity of her photographic style. With a mix of beauty, baking and lifestyle her posts offer something for everyone, although I prefer the beauty posts generally. As a huge mascara lover myself I do love a good review and she regularly reviews mascaras by various brands in detail, which are super helpful as she even talks about packaging and longevity and the reviews do feel honest; I trust her opinions as she seems very down to earth and passionate about whatever she writes about.

I actually found Georgie's blog through her twitter page and haven't looked back since. Her sense of wanderlust and thirst for adventure is pretty catching; as in her travel photography is enough to make you want to quit your job and travel the world, discovering the beauty of life. However the travels are mixed in with a range of lifestyle and beauty posts too, which is also great. There are some really useful posts, for example what products to take in a make up bag (or generally in a bag!) for various holiday destinations and I also like her '10 things that made me happy this month' posts for a dash of positivity.

Another twitter find, I absolutely adore her blog and other social media; this blog is definitely one for the beauty and stationary lover and the photography is simply fabulous a they're so much going on. Overall, she's definitely more of a beauty blogger and I do love how that also includes skin and nail care in this instance as I'm fairly lazy about those kinds of things so it's great to read reviews that coax me into making more of an effort! There's also a healthy mix of high end and drugstore beauty products so whether you want to lust after beautiful things or break your bank, this is the perfect blog to read if you want to spend some hard earned money as you'll want it all.

I've been following Rachel on various social media and reading her blog for about year (maybe more) now and I love how her posts incorporate a range of themes including mental health, wellbeing and lifestyle. As a mental health nursing student, it's amazing to see mental health from another perspective and I really admire her creative ways of tackling mental health and the stigma surrounding it. Honestly is really important to me whenever I read a blog and Rachel's blog is a true insight into her life, for example when writes about the tough times as well as the good times and that's so refreshing for someone like me, who wants to see real life.

The final blog that I've been loving this month I found very recently, through another blogger. Jasmine has a lovely blog, I like how she's taken so much time with it to the extent that she even built her own site to blog on. Her posts are mix of lifestyle and beauty and I love how down to earth and honest she is; her recent post on why she avoided university was great as it was a completely different perspective to my own but it also tackled an important topic that most people don't really talk about. The other posts that I like to read are favourites posts as well as budgeting posts as they're always a good way of working out if you want to spend some money. Jasmine's blog is definitely one for the hard working as she details some really important stuff and I loved her explanation about spending and bank accounts so much!

Favourite Blogs #7

Every month I feel like I read so many different blogs and get a whole host of different tips, ideas and understanding about how other people live their lives. One of the reasons I love blogging so much is that it keeps my mind busy; often when I have a spare moment I have a tendency to overthink, whereas now I have something to occupy my mind either by reading the posts of others or writing posts for my own blog. This month I've been enjoying a range of lifestyle and beauty bloggers and the five bloggers mentioned below have provided me with so much inspiration for my blog to the point where they're definitely on the list of my firm favourites right now.

I'm absolutely loving Carrie's more recent posts where she details getting married and all of the little snippets from her big day. She's covered more less everything most people would want to know when knowing more about weddings, such as the bride and bridesmaid dresses, the honeymoon, the legalities, planning in general, a playlist, invitations and stationary alongside many, many more tips and trips. Aside from her wedding posts I love her blog in general, especially her personal style whilst on travels and in England posts as they're just so beautifully captured, the photography is amazing. To be honest her whole blog is so effortlessly polished, I love it!

Rachel's blog is excellent for raising awareness for menth health issues, but also provides a great source of support for those actually need help by giving tips on how to combat negativity within your life. She's currently studying mental health nursing so she definitely knows what she's talking about; I personally have found her blog to be sensitive and helpful, for example giving advice on how to self love. Her blog isn't only about mental health primarily a lifestyle blog, so you'll see many cups of coffee and showing parts of her life and what she enjoys doing in her spare time.

Primarily a lifestyle blog, Kayleigh shows her background in graphic design through her lovely blog design. She's not the most regular poster, but what she does post is always interesting and definitely something that has taken up a great deal of time. For example a post about female contraception and its side effects; such an important issue but one that is rarely raised in public and also a lot of mental health experiences, such as being isolated at university and alone in suffering alongside more happy posts relating to beauty and social events. It's nice to see someone showing the importance of looking after mental health whilst continuing to live their life.

I found Sophie's blog through following her on social media; I like how she incorporates her personality and hobbies into her posts. She's very frank about her struggles with insecurity and anxiety, with posts outlining how she feels like a blip in the blogosphere. However, I like her honesty just as much as I enjoy her thoughts on food such restaurants she's visited, fashion likes and dislikes and lifestyle posts in the form of what she's read, or how to ace a job interview. I enjoy reading her down to earth, fun and honest reviews and I like her taste very much in general, from make up, books and travel. I peeking into other people's lives and her blog is a nice reflection of Sophie.

I love finding new blogs to read through and Jade is a blogger who I've quickly fallen in love with; I originally found her blog through instagram and having reading throughout this month. Her posts are a mixture of beauty, fashion and lifestyle, with tips on how to increase your follower count on social media, reviews on beauty products such as the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette and foodie aspects, like afternoon teas. I like that I've found her blog at the beginnings of its life, as it's so nice to watch a blogger grow from a small following to a larger following; blogs shape so much in their first few years and I can't wait to see how her blog keeps growing.

Favourite Blogs! - November

I followed Rachel on Instagram not too long ago; the first blogpost that I read was 'A-Z of Mental Health', which really resonated with me on a personal level. As a result of that blogpost, I began trawling through her older posts and really, really enjoyed her blog. She feels so real and relatable, with a honest outlook on life. Her posts are mostly lifestyle, and I love how down to earth she comes across. When I read her posts, it's as though I'm listening to a friend and that's why she's become one of my favourite blogs.

I love Kayliegh-Anne's blog for a number of reasons; she's an avid foodie, beauty lover, regularly updates on her personal life, her health, university studies and her hopes and dreams. Although I'm not a vegan, her cooking recipes are not only easy to follow but also taste good and are cheap to produce. Plus they're healthy, which is a bonus for someone like me, so tends to eat fatty foods. I like how she spoke about her insecurities in a post, that made me feel like I'm not alone, even if it was text on an iPad to me. Her quotes of the week are always really uplifting too.

I found Amy on Instagram, I have no recollection of how, but I've been reading her blog ever since. I admire her creativity and enjoy seeing her range of interests. I'm loving her autumn fashion stylings at the moment, as well as her lifestyle posts that contain simple but effective advice. She's quite a new blogger, but very polished and her posts are always interesting; you can tell that she's passionate about her writing and she takes some really lovely photos to help demonstrate this.

Emily is another new blogger, but one that I see really growing an audience really quickly. She writes most about food, fashion and lifestyle. Her blogposts are informative and interesting, and I definitely related to her skincare related series of posts as she has a similarly rosy skintone to me so the products she mentioned turned out to be really useful. Probably my favourite post of hers was a blogging tips post, suggesting ways to take blogger friendly photographs whilst on a budget. So useful and so revelant for many people.
